Round-Up

Record released on 2003-09-09 at 7:47 p.m.

I am in a state of exhaustion right now following my busy and wonderful week, and the train journey that followed it. Plus, last night I couldn't get to sleep despite the exhaustion. I was up until 3, when finally my brainkillers knocked me out (stupid pain. Grr....) but I still didn't get nearly enough sleep. I miss Y terribly. The last week was full of utter stupidity, watching for pretty girls and some very interesting developments, too ;)

Just spending a week alone together was fantastic. The best time we have ever spent together. Closer than ever, dafter than ever. I had been looking forward to it for months, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Even though I was unwell on and off, Y kept me laughing and smiling all the time, and that's the sort of medicine you can't buy over the counter. We spent a shocking amount of time watching the music channels for videos of our favourite musical stars, without actually caring at all for their music, as well as spending a grand amount of time watching Fashion TV (not for the fashion) and Live TV (for... well, let's just say it's not changed from the old days!)

And although I've written a couple of short entries about some of the funny moments of the week, here's my round up of the comedy highlights.....

- Talking to the lovely Kass in the phone for the first time ever and writing up a whole list of ways to torture her :) (Now, what's that Directory Enquiries number....? ;))

- Y doing unintentional impressions of Daisy from Spaced, which were shockingly convincing

- Discovering the existence of a construction company called Totty at work in the centre of Manchester which caused me to tug on Y's arm and laugh hysterically

- All the crappy celebrities we spotted between us! How did I manage to see three gits from Hollyoaks in the space of a week? Mind you, there was someone worse on my train home.... more about that tomorrow though.

- Spudgun from Bottom buying a Burger King

- The mysterious sausage shortage of Manchester.... It took us all week to track down a packet! The mystery will haunt us forever....

- Our bizarre trip to the college to enroll Y's youngest brother, and then to the park where we saw a dog called Johnny or Tommy or Ronnie, and had an in-depth discussion about the renaming of pet food (Remember when Brekkies were called Munchies? No? Just me then....)

- Choosing mean postcards of Manchester

- Playing Mario Golf and making Maple sound like she's having it off with the heckling sound effects :) (They were unbelievably hilarious. Perfect combinations of, "OOOH!", "a-h-h-h-h-h" and "Good Shot!" made an audio porn movie!)

- Watching Charlie's Angels and laughing over Y's complaints about them showing the same pre-film reel that they've shown for about 4 years

- Y sneakily swapping the dead batteries from the satellite remote with the batteries from the remote to his brothers' video recorder, practically under their noses, without them seeing (Now you have to admit, that's quite a skill!)

- Eating crumpets every day :)

- Making lasagne, and making it well!

- Watching lots of Takeshi's Castle

- Watching the football

- and the tennis :)

- getting scared out of my wits when a still image of Pete bloody Sampras appeared in the middle of the tennis for no reason! ARGH!

The whole week was one long highlight. And I miss him, and my week, so much. Now I'm back home and it's just me. Me, my newly-cut hair and an itchy neck. *Sigh* Roll on our next weekend together :)

What's On: The sound of me scratching my neck

Next: having a lay down
